Paving slabs are bigger than paving stones (over a foot in width and length) and are mainly used for patios and walkways. They are designed for pedestrian traffic and need no aggragate base or foundation, but they are stronger than poured concrete slabs.
Through the manufacturing process paving slabs are stronger than poured concrete sincethere is a smaller water to cement ratio and they are hydra pressed which reduces the air content in each slab. They are also know as “flexible pavement”, meaning they will move with freezing and thawing temperatures.

Belcarra
This client has a beautiful "smart" home on the water in Belcarra. He had us install natural stones using boulders, dry stack basalt stackers and natural stone stairs. Getting all this heavy and awkward materials up the hill and into this back yard was a challenge. We were successful and everyone is pleased with the natural looking results.
Pitt Meadows Project
A lovely semi retired couple hired us to completely renovate the back and side yards of their home in Pitt Meadows. They had an old rotten deck and landscape tie retaining walls. Together we came up with a design involving a paving stone patio that is much more durable than wood decking.
